A discussion piece. Wonderful.</em></td>

<td width="100%">
It is our pleasure to offer a Regency boxed liquor decanter set. It is dated to around the period 1810, and probably belonger to an officer serving in the Napoleonic wars. It may well have been carted through the Peninsula War into France.

Retaining its original 4 clear glass decanters and tops, without chips, the box is made of figured mahogany veneer. It has brass supports and handles to the sides.

As is so typical with these old containers, the veneer has shifted slightly.This does not destroy the solidity of the piece.

The measuring cup to the rear has its original base but sometime the original glass was replaced with a more contemporary one. It could be unglued from the brass base and a different jigger installed.
