Hard-to-find complete uniform for a woman Red Cross Ambulance Driver, includes: button-down tunic with six Red Cross button, two waist pockets with the same type of buttons, "American Red Cross Ambulance Service" patch on left shoulder, shoulder epaulets trimmed in green, World War II Service Medal and W.A.C. medal pinned to chest; official Red Cross cap with bow and enamel Red Cross pin at front; wool skirt with button closure at the waist; circular Red Cross medic's bag with zipper closure; matching 9" x 8" cloth purse with detachable carry strap and change purse; and a leather wallet with war-date identification, ration books, cards, etc. Red Cross volunteers often drove ambulances in war zones, as well as on the home front.
