<B>RECORD-CLASS AFRICAN WARTHOG SHOULDER MOUNT</B></I><BR> <I>Phacochoerus aethiopicus</B></I><BR>The warthog will never win an animal kingdom beauty contest, but they make wonderful Big Game. They are a gregarious animal, living in bands of 4 to 6, and both males and females have warts and tusks which they use for rooting up the ground and for defense. The males grow larger than the females, and this is a trophy-class boar with tusks measuring 11¼ inches long, of which about 2¾ inches is inside the mouth. The taxidermy quality on this example is outstanding and the tusks are made of real ivory.
