Fabulous Flexible copper necklace made of flattened links with
stamped,
cutout, anodized leaves at either end of chain. Fastens with a
mushroom shaped clasp in the front. The leaves are not
discolored or tarnished; this is the original color as seen in
Copper Art Jewelry (Burkholz & Kaplan: Schiffer
Publishing, 1992) page 15.
<p>Modernist jewelry designer and metal smith Francisco
(sometimes called Frank) Rebajes opened his Greenwich Village
studio in 1934. He worked mostly in copper but also made silver
objects. His unique designs won him wide fame in the 1940s
and 50?s. Rebaje?s work has exhibited at numerous museums
including the Museum of Modern Art and Brooklyn Museum.
<p>Necklace overall length: 19 inches. Leaves are 1-1/4 x 1-3/
