<B>RCA President David Sarnoff Signature</B></I> on card, 5.5 x 2.25, mounted on a sheet with a typed biographical sketch, signed <I>Merry Christmas - David Sarnoff</B></I>. Sarnoff (1891-1971) was a Russian immigrant who rose through the ranks of Radio Corporation of America (RCA). As a young wireless operator, Sarnoff is alleged to have monitored the signals from the liner <I>Carpathia</B></I> as she frantically steamed to rescue survivors from the <I>Titanic.</B></I> He broadcast information for 72 straight hours to newspapers and frantic family members.
