<B>RASPBERRY AMETHYST "VUG" </B></I><BR> <I>Rodeo Binito, 20 miles east of Fredrico<BR>Westphalen, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil </B></I><BR>Almost all of the amethyst "geodes" from the Brazil-Uruguay border feature varying amounts of amethyst and agate with an occasional selenite or calcite in the interior. This particular geode contains a normal layer of light purple amethyst which has been over-coated with bright druzy crystals of rose quartz, giving this uncommon specimen a rich raspberry- colored interior.
