RARE Spencer New Model .50 Cal Repeating Carbine
You are bidding on a beautiful example of a Rare Spencer New Model .50 Cal Repeating Carbine. Only approx. 5,000 of this very rare model were made in the 1860s primarily for the U. S. Cavalry for the Indian Wars, most of these rare carbines that loaded through a magazine in the butt plate saw very hard frontier service and surviving specimens in anything but rough condition are scarce. This example shows excellent un-cracked or un-chipped butt stock and forend, correct single swivel in the butt stock, correct original magazine tube, metal is smooth and shows no signs of abuse or rust, uncleaned deep natural patina to barrel and receiver. This is a very limited production Spencer in especially good condition. Has correct and original ladder rear sight with slide intact. One of the best examples available for sale at this time. This carbine was made in the 1860's and is a antique fire arm. NO FFL transfer or NICS background check required. Serial number is 103813. Overall length is 37 1/8" L
