GAME GUN. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 5455. Armi Perazzi is famous for their O/U target guns & high end O/U field guns. In their early days they produced a few of these exceptionally high quality SxS guns, examples of which seldom come to market. This gun has 29 1/8" chopper lump bbls. fitted w/ slightly raised flat matted rib. Side of left bbl. engraved w/ Perazzi name, address & "MADE IN ITALY". Bbls. fitted w/ Briley interchangeable choke tubes. Bbl. flats stamped w/ 1965 vintage Italian nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers. Bottoms of bbls. stamped w/ bore, choke & steel information. Case hardened robust sidelock action is stocked to the fences & features non automatic safety ("SICURA" engraved), gold line tumbler end cocking indicators & dbl. triggers w/ front trigger firing left bbl. Front trigger is also articulated. Action & lockplates engraved w/ nearly full coverage very well cut classic British rose & scroll. Bottom of action engraved "MAP". Blued trigger guard w/ scroll on bow has S# on tang which extends to horn grip cap. Very nicely marbled & somewhat crotch figured European walnut "Prince of Wales" pistol grip buttstock measures 14 1/2" over 3/4" brown "Kickeez" pad. Stock features classic drop points, point pattern checkering at grip & a vacant silver oval on toeline. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release. MEASUREMENTS: STOCK: LOP: 14 1/2". DAC: 1 7/16". DAH: 2 1/8". Cast: approx. 1/2" off. WEIGHT: 7 lbs. 3 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 5 Briley choke tubes (2 are in gun for a total of 7) & installation tool. 2 Brown leather covered pads of differing lengths. CONDITION: very fine and original, except for added choke tubes. Bbls. retaining over 95% original blue w/ a few light marks. Action & locks retain over 95% of their original case hardening color w/ some hand worn loss on beads & left side bottom of action. Top lever & tang w/ some discoloration. Stocks retain nearly all of their original oil finish w/ some light scratches & scuff marks on left side of butt from inexpert fitting of newer pad. Checkering w/ a hint of wear, still light in color. Bright shiny bores w/ no visible imperfections. Mechanically crisp. (21-1617/MGM). CURIO. $8,500-15,000.
