RARE FABULOUS sharply turned head immature harlequin or "rock duck" decoy ca early 1900's by revered lighthouse keeper and master decoy carver Augustus A. "Gus" Wilson, So. Portland, ME. In XOC with feather detail on the body and head and half moon white patch just above both wings. Hairline check on the back. Inlet neck with a separate turned head. Small chip in wood on the underside of the bill tip. A couple of minor spots flaking. "FITTS" is carved into the bottom. Appears to be in unused, dry, unrigged condition. As crisp and clean as they get. (decoy)

<BR><p>3 - All sales are final except that refunds will be made on lots found to be other than described in this catalog. However, an intention of return must be expressed to the auctioneers within 14 days after you have received your decoy. The decoys need not be returned within 14 days but we must be notified within 14 days of your intention to return them.

<BR><p>4 - The Auctioneers reserve the right to reject any opening bid or bid advance not commensurate with the value of the article being offered.

<BR><p>5 - The Auctioneers reserve the right to withdraw any lot at any time prior to the commencement of bidding for the lot.

<BR><p>7 - The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In the event of a dispute between bidders, the Auctioneer shall have the sole discretion as to who was the successful bidder or he may re-offer the disputed item at his discretion.

Personal checks will be accepted only if the Auctioneers have received a bank authorization guaranteeing funds or other credit references are provided. <BR><p>10 - All shipping and packaging expense shall be borne by the purchaser. If for any reason a purchased lot cannot be delivered in as good condition as at the time of the sale or should the lot be stolen prior to delivery, the Auctioneers shall not be liable for any amount in excess of that paid by the purchaser.
