A fabulous 1" ferrotype brass shell with portrait of the Elmer Ellsworth, the first casualty of the Civil War on one side, and his "avenger" Francis Brownell on the other. Both portraits strong and bright. Rare in this large size. Nearly Excellent, with couple very MINOR scuffs.
