RARE EARLY CONE-HAMMER 20-SHOT BROOMHANDLE WITH STOCK
RARE EARLY CONE-HAMMER 20-SHOT BROOMHANDLE WITH STOCK. Cal. 30 Mauser. Rare and unusual broomhandle with 5-1/2” tapered round bbl, barleycorn front sight with 1000-meter rear sight with lightning grooves in the slide rails. It has flatside frame with extended box magazine and coarse serrated 2-piece walnut grips and a lanyard ring in the butt. Accompanied by its original matching numbered oversized wood stock/holster. SN 11. CONDITION: Fine, all matching including the stock, retains most of an old professionally restored finish with fine pinpoints of pitting on the magazine box and left side of the frame with other minor pitting on the right side of the receiver. The magazine spring is broken and has an old attempted repair. The bore is very worn. The holster has a couple of hairlines on the back edge, otherwise is sound, missing a small sliver near the latch in the lid. Otherwise has numerous small nicks and handling marks with a fine hand-polished finish. The hinge is lightly pitted and has one replaced screw. The back end of the lid has a whittled hole, apparently for a lanyard. 4-49254
