This is an extraordinary authentic pre-historic notched Dovetail / St. Charles long spear point with a nice high grade of G9+ and book value of $4,000. The ancient point is expertly constructed from a fine Flint Ridge material with outstanding color and is in very well-preserved excellent museum quality condition. The point shows a large / tall Archaic Dovetail / St. Charles spear point with heavy notching. The spear point has a collection museum tag that reads, “230-A10 Carrizozo 5 13/18” Archaic Dove Tail Flint Point from Ohio Book Value $4000.00 D-125” and “5 13/16 Dove Tail G-9+ Value $4,000 Ohio D-125”. This is truly a rare authentic St. Charles / Dovetail spear point with outstanding condition and color ranging from red/pink and green to browns and tans and was collected in Ohio. This 9000-6000 BC artifact is from the Ohio Native American Indians and is in exceptionally fine spear point showing wonderful detail and an extraordinary size. Provenance: From a multi-generation artifact collection spanning 80-100 years from Las Cruzes, New Mexico. The point is in excellent condition and measures 5 7/8”L x 1.5”W. Riker case is 5.5”x6.5” and 1” thick. The point is hand painted on the front with a museum collection number of OHIO 9/3562.
