Both derringers are engraved “S” on butts, no doubt original pair in matching condition. 2.5” Bbls. w/ half round front sights, large slanted “COLT”, nickel w/ blued screws & triggers. Case hardened high hammers, varnished rosewood grips. Housed in original cigar style casing lined w/ purple velvet & silk. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 1999 appraisal document. CONDITION: S# 3550 fine-excellent overall. Retains virtually all its original nickel w/ minor cosmetic defects. Trigger & screws retain some original blue. Hammer retains case colors. Grips retain most of their original varnish w/ some bubbling on left side & chip exposing steady pin. Mechanically fine w/ crisp bright bore. S# 12765 fine-excellent. Retains virtually all of its original nickel. Trigger retains most of its bright blue. Screws retain some blue. Hammer retains most of its original case color. Grips well fit retaining most of their original varnish. Mechanically fine w/ crisp bright bore. Casing is fair, 1 Hinge is loose, missing lock. Heavily scuffed, especially on edges w/ parts of leather veneer missing interior velvet & silk linings. Both show wear & reductions. Silk is torn on edges. (01-18848/JS). BOTH ANTIQUE. $3,000-4,000.
