<td width="100%">
A FINE & RARE Large Eighteenth Century Chinese Famille Porcelain Vase, hand-painted with traditional Chinese taste decoration depicting Birds Warbling on Spring Flowers separated by Megranates, measuring 14.3" in height by 7.2" wide. Eight large Chinese Shou that means longevity are painted around the border. The border of the vase is gilded with gold thread. The neck is painted with Money Bat and Eternal Love Lotus Blossoms. The vase is marked with the six-character reign mark of the Qianlong Emperor in the base.

This is a truly wonderful example richly painted with vibrant colors. The piece is constructed from slabs of clay and the base marked with a small square containing the Qianlong mark. The broad and somewhat grand painting is marvelously fluent, and is typical of early Qianlong wares.

A rare-to-find example and a most worthy addition to any collection!

Condition: Hole to base. Otherwise in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or restoration whatsoever. The paintwork is not flaked and is not worn or rubbed.
