This is for an extremely Rare & Historical Lot of Items, dating back to possibly the 1800's-early 1900's.<p>

Antique Hand Carved & Painted Gold frame measuring: 13" tall x 5 1/2" across x 7/16" deep. Frame is in very good condition, with some minor paint wear.<p>

Antique Print of a Victorian Woman holding a Vase of Roses. The print is of a very soft muting coloring. Measures: 12" tall x 4 1/2" across. There is some minor tears along edges & minor dings on front of print. <p>

In the back of the Print & Frame was a Piece of Cardboard, which was designed by the Famous Artist, Samuel Ward Stanton (1870-1912), which is of Historical Significance. Here is a little history on Samuel Ward Stanton & Cardboard (Subwary Car Cards) designed by him. He was a polymath. He painted, wrote music, wrote a book, edited a magazine, ran an advertising agency, produced subway car cards promoting the Hudson River Day Line! He was a friend to James Bard & Antonio Jacobsen. He was a Steamboat Interior Designer. His last assignment was to decorate the Interior of the New Steamboat "Washington Irving". He Painted her Portrait Image, from plans, before he left for Spain & the Alhambra to make notes. He was to come home on the White Star Line. He never made it as he was on the Titanic! The Washington Irving was to be the Greatest of the Day Line's Floating Art Galleries, and Samuel Ward Stanton, the Famous Marine Artist, was commissioned by the Day Line to do so.
