We attempt to take as deatiled an Image as possible of both the Obverse and Reverse of all coins and currency, While we try and accurately grade each coin, as coin grading is subjective, we encourage you to asses the pictures yourself and make a grading judgement yourself. We always 100% guarantee authenticity, but we do not guarantee any specific grade, nor do we guarantee that NGC or PCGS or any other grading company will agree to grade the coin. We strive for your repeat business and do everything we can to accurately photograph and describe the coin/currency.
This is the "weak D" Variety. This would often be seen as a No 'D' but you can tell its the #3 die pairing by the weakly struck reverse. When turned in just the right light and in the right way you can also see the remnant of the d. It is still a very scarce coin with PCGS estimating the mintage at 6000 pieces. PCGS lists the 1922 Weak D in Fine 12 at $105 and XF40 at $350. PCGS does not show a value for VF. Looking at recent sales, a PCGS VF30 sold on Ebay in June for $150 and a PCGS F12 sold for $110 on Teletrade in July. Estimated Value $150
