A FINE & RARE Large Eighteenth Century Chinese Famille Porcelain Vase, hand-painted with traditional Chinese taste decoration depicting four fair ladies talking under a big tree. One of the is carrying a big basket of peaches and the other two are waving the fans the fourth one is holding a stem of lotus flower in her hand, Measuring 12.5" in height by 4.8" wide. The vase is marked with the Four-character reign mark of the Qianlong Emperor in the base.
This is a truly wonderful example richly painted with vibrant colors. The piece is constructed from slabs of clay, and the thick base left unglazed save for a small recessed square containing the Qianlong mark. The broad and somewhat slapdash painting is marvelously fluent, and is typical of early Qianlong wares.

Condition: Hole to base. Otherwise in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or restoration whatsoever. The paintwork is not flaked and is not worn or rubbed.
