RAMIRO, Erastène.- Faune parisienne. Paris, Gustave Pellet, 1901. In-8°. Relié par E. Carayon, plaque de Lucien Rudaux : plein maroquin brun très foncé, plaque de cuir incisé colorié insérée dans le plat sup., figurant 2 femmes dans la campagne parisienne (tour Eiffel dans le lointain), dos à nerfs, doublures de soie bleu-vert serties de même maroq. à listel de cuir rouge et filets dorés, gardes de même soie, doubles gardes de papier marbré, tranches dorées sur témoins, couv. et dos cons. (tache blanche sur le 2d plat, pet. griffe au caisson sup. du dos). Sous étui.
20 eaux-fortes originales de Louis Legrand : 16 en couleurs au repérage ou à la poupée (dont la couverture et 4 planches formant double page) et 4 gravures en noir, les 13 hors-texte étant protégés par des serpentes légendées. Texte parsemé de 51 dessins de Legrand gravés sur bois par G. Lemoine.
Tirage limité à 130 ex. sur vélin d'arches (n° 40). Selon Carteret, il a encore été tiré 10 japon et chine hors commerce; et selon Mahé, qqs chine.
Exemplaire enrichi de :
- 1 dessin original au pinceau à l'encre de Chine et rehauts de crayon bleu, monogrammé au pinceau et signé à la mine de graphite, +/- 18 x 17 cm : assis à une table, Madame fait une retouche à son maquillage tandis que Monsieur, dépité, tient Bébé :
- 1 suite de 20 gravures en noir avant toute lettre.
Très belle édition illustrée par Legrand, grand peintre de la femme et des moeurs parisiennes.

After full payment, buyers are kindly requested to take away their purchases immediately after the auction or at the bookshop the next Tuesday after the auction 230 av. Louise, from 2 pm until 6 pm.
Goods will be send only after customers’ payment.
Packing and dispatching are entirely at the buyer’s own expense.
Books whose price exceed 100 (EUR) will be send by registered post.

Payment will be made in Belgian Francs. We do not accept credit cards neither cheques whose total amount exceed 200 (EUR) or cheques not validated for higher sum.
Terms of sale require buyers to pay immediately for their purchases, which means that lots will be released to them only when full and cleared payment as been received by us
In addition to the hammer price, the buyer has to pay a buyer’s premium of 21%, V.A.T. inclusive, all strictly in cash and in Ero's (EUR)
In case of original art and if the principles of the author’s rights are applicable, an extra 4% must be paid on each hammer price of at least 1250 EUR
All items are assumed to be in good condition unless otherwise stated. Buyers are kindly invited to carry out their own inspection of the lots they want to buy. All items to be auctioned are on view for several days prior to the sale.
Returning an item after the striking of the hammer will not be accepted, whatever the reason put forward. Those items bought on order must be inspected within 8 days after receipt. Any return after this term will be refused.
All items of the catalogue with the mention « n.c. » (non collationné = not inspected) are not subject to return. Neither are those sold in lots (two items or more) works consisting in multiple volumes and periodicals or series.
If you cannot attend the auction, we can execute written bids on your behalf. To ensure a satisfactory service, it is necessary to make arrangements for the services at least one day before the sale.
On every purchase Belgian law only is applicable, and all cases of dispute are exclusively to the competence of the Brussels Chamber.
