R.S.Germany pastry or cake service consisting of a two handled serving plate and six matching dessert plates. The overall transfer and hand painted pattern is one that goes above the norm for the typical minimalized stylings created by the R.S. Germany factory with an exquisite gold overlay of floral 'lace' on a grey background tinted with a silvery blue hue. Transfer painted white blush roses encircle the white porcelain center which is accented with a matching rose.<p>The entire service is in immaculate condition. Cake or Pastry place measures 9.75 inches, including the two open tabbled side handles, dessert plates measure 6.25 inches in diameter. Acquired from an extensive and well-cared for private Estate collection of R.S. Prussia and related factories porcelain. Per an article by Lee Marple, 'R.S. Germany/Suhl Seminar', dated 1.06.2006, this mold was introduced by Schlegelmilch in 1910 after the close of their Suhl factory. Acquired from a well preserved and extensive Estate collection of R.S. Prussia and related porcelains. Marked with the green R.S. Germany Star and Wreath mark, 1910 - 1917 and script 'Handpainted'.
