The present books are volume 1 and 2 of the work ‘The Eumorfopoulos Collection’ by Robert Lockhart Hobson. ‘Volume One. From the Chou to the End of the T‘ang Dynasty’ and ‘Volume Two. From T‘ang to Ming / Ju, Kuan, Lung-Chüan & Chien Wares’ published by Ernest Benn in in 1925 and 1926. In addition to the accompanying text numerous collotypes and color plates illustrate the porcelain collection of George Eumorfopoulos (1863-1939). The latter was a distinguished collector of Asian porcelain. Part of his collection is now in the British Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum in London.



The two volumes are in good condition with some signs of age and wear. The covers are a little rubbed. The paper is toned due to age, partially with foxing and handling creases. The dimensions are 46.3 x 32.3 cm.
