19 1/4" by 25" framed. Title is Frontier Saloon. Originally sold in the CM Russell Art Auction in 1991. Driven from childhood to excel in painting, R.E. Pierce has strived to create works of art that capture the feel and excitement of both the early and contemporary West that appeals to every collector. A diverse professional artist since 1973, Pierce has taught watercolor, and has participated in numerous Western Art Shows and exhibitions throughout the United States. He has shown at the prestigious C.M. Russell Auction in Great Falls, Montana, where Pierce is entering his 25th consecutive year as a participating artist. He was also involved in the C.M. Russell Museum's 1999 "The Cowboy, Today's Tradition" exhibition. His artwork has been featured on The Bradford Exchange Series of collector plates and Leanin' Tree cards. His work is in the Favell Museum's Permanent Art Collection, and the U.S.M.C Combat Art Collection. He was chosen as the Ellensburg Art Auction Poster Artist for 1996. Currently, Pierce is using his experience as a U.S. Marine in Viet Nam for a series of paintings, one of which was featured in "Viet Nam" magazine.
