The photograph features a wonderfully and professionally crafted hand tinted photograph that shows a view of the lake with the sun setting over a far hill inside the tree line probably on a hill size. R.E. Marble (1883-1938). Ray Elmer Marble (Montana, 1883-1938) was an iconic Montana photographer who had a studio in Belton, Montana and Whitefish, Montana and was hired by the Great Northern Railway to take scenic pictures of Glacier National Park for its railroad brochures until 1924. Renowned for his striking photographs of Glacier National Park, photographer, Marble's works is highly sought by collectors. The condition of this framed photograph shows well preserved stature with some small wear marks to the frame but otherwise shows no obvious signs of damage to the photograph itself. The measurements of this framed photograph is 14 7/8" x 10 3/8" and the visible photograph measures 12 7/8" x 8 5/8".
