An unusual pair, with three lanes of white, cobalt & white-heart red beads wrapping the entire moccasin, up the heel, and across the top of the tongue. Dyed-quill crosses decorate the sides, quillwork covers the vamps. The tongue is comprised of quill-wrapped parfleche slats that terminate in feather-stuffed tin cones. The edge is trimmed in black cloth. 10" long. Condition: It appears that seven tin cones are missing. Losses to the quillwork is evident throughout. Beadwork on the right moccasin has 6 rows missing on the inside edge. Other beaded losses are sporadic and insignificant.

Provenance: From the Estate of Thomas W. Lorimer.
