Quicksilver Messenger Service "Eternal Reservoir" Avalon Ballroom Concert Poster FD-101 (Family Dog, 1968). This beautiful poster, also known by collectors as "The Source," is one of artist Rick Griffin's most popular and profound images. The late Griffin (who died in a motorcycle accident in 1991) was a noted seeker of knowledge, who later embraced Christianity. This poster's printing history is not easy to determine, as most first print examples have a noticeable "woven" pattern on the back; second printings have this pattern on the front. This is one of the few first printings to have no pattern, front or back, and is listed as an original in Eric King's book as OP-5. The poster measures approximately 14" x 20", and is in NM condition.

Shipping: Flat Material, Large (view shipping information)
