<B>Queenstown, UC- The Niagara Suspension Bridge Bank</B></I> $3, $5 1841 Ch. # 535-10-08-06, 535-10-08-12<BR> This was not your run of the mill obsolete note issuer, as this institution was recognized by the Canadian authorities and taxed as a bank. Most of its shareholders were Americans, and most of the business it did was in Lockport, New York, although there was an office in Chippewa, Upper Canada as well as Queenstown. The bank failed in late 1841 with over $60,000 of notes in circulation. The $3 grades <B>Fine-Very Fine, </B></I>the $5 <B>Very Good</B></I> with a missing corner. <BR><I>From The Thomas M.
