In part: “Victoria by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen Defender” appoints “Trusty and well beloved Robert Henry Miles, Esquire…to be Major in Our Army in the East Indies.” Signed along the top by Victoria. Intersecting folds, and scattered areas of soiling and toning, otherwise fine condition. None of the aforementioned conditions affect the crisp blue seal or the Queen’s flowing, majestic signature.
