Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “Victoria R,” one page, 15 x 11.25, April 1, 1841. Queen Victoria appoints John Wray Mitchell as "a Second Captain in Our Royal Regiment of Artillery." Neatly signed at the head by Queen Victoria. The blue seal affixed to the upper left remains intact. In very good to fine condition, with overall rippling due to the nature of the vellum, and the signature a couple of shades light.
