Queen Victoria appoints Captain Philip Harris of the Bengal Native Infantry as "Major in the Army in the East Indies." Signed at the head by Queen Victoria. The white paper seal affixed to the upper left remains intact. In fine condition, with intersecting folds, and the signature a couple of shades light.
