<B>Queen Maria Cristina of Spain Document Signed </B></I> "<I>Maria Cristina</B></I>" as regent, four integral pages written on pages one and two, 9.75" x 14", Madrid, June 20, 1886, in Spanish. Overall browning, tears at the fold and the edges, else near very good. Sold with a postal card featuring Maria Christina. The document is addressed to President of the Republic of Santa Domingo, informing him of birth of her son King Alfonso XIII. The baby was born king on May 17, 1886. The pages are bordered in black to denote court morning for King Alfonso XII who died on November 25, 1885, almost six months before the birth of his successor. Queen Maria Christina was appointed regent during Alfonso XIII's minority.
