Spanish monarch (1451–1504) best known as the sponsor and patron of Christopher Columbus in his ventures to the ‘New World.’ Manuscript DS, in Old Spanish, signed “Yo La Reyna [I the Queen],” one page, 8.5 x 7.5. Crisply penned untranslated document, signed under the text by Isabella. Double matted and framed with a portrait of the Queen to an overall size of 18.5 x 12.5. Central horizontal and vertical folds, one through a single letter of signature, two cancellation cuts to text, each affecting a single letter of signature, and scattered toning and wrinkling, otherwise very good condition. Historic connection with the discoverer of the New World.
