This roundabout armchair in walnut dates from the Queen Anne period, circa 1725-1750. It features solid center splats on each side, cabriole legs ending in pointed pad feet, and very old upholstery. Patina is very old and it does not appear that the chair has been refinished. Measures 31.5" high, 28.5" wide and 23.5" deep.

Additional images gladly forwarded upon request.

This chair comes from the collection of Roni Steinberg Sokoloff, and resided in her former 63-acre estate on Cantitoe Street in Bedford New York, known as Cantitoe Farms. The chair was purchased by Ms. Sokoloff in the 1980s and was appraised in 1998 by Sotheby's for $8,500. We will be happy to provide a photocopy of the appraisal at time of purchase. Thanks for visiting. Please let us know if you have any questions or comments.
