Water Strickles used to be common in every household in China. Now, they are seldom found. They were used for everything from a wine dip to a water dip. This one is from the Qing Dynasty and dates to around the 1800's. It has a carved handle and a elegant, flared design. It is made of fir and comes from Zhejiang. The bucket will hold approx. 1 gallon. It measures approx. 12.5" in height including the handle and is approx. 10.5" in width. Ones in excellent condition, such as this one, are very rare.
