QUARTER PLATE TINTYPE OF YANKS AND FLAG. A quarter-plate tintype of two newly minted infantry non-commissioned officers photographed against the backdrop of a hanging thirty-four star flag. The unidentified pair strike a similar pose with their M1840 swords in identical uniforms and high leather boots. The plate shows good detail but is somewhat on the dark side with barely noticeable spidering and hairlines in the top varnish. About VG. Housed in a full composition leather case.
