Briefly reporting that the Friends endeavors have succeeded in nearly bringing an end to slavery in Europe, there is much attention given to instruction in the rearing of children. In very small part, <i>“...Youth are very liable to form intimacies...natural inclinations and passions...keep those under your charge...out of the way of temptation...frequent reading of the holy scripture...”</i> In bottom margin on verso is Pennsylvania Historical Society and deaccession stamps. Light soiling and edge wear; minor foxing; 1¼" fold separation with no paper loss; else in very good condition.

11. All bidding is done in a competitive manner. The
winning bid will always be one bidding increment
over the second highest bid. The minimum
acceptable bid for any lot is 50% of the low
estimate given in the item description or $25,
whichever is higher.

12. Payment is expected immediately upon receipt of
invoice. All accounts are payable to Signature
House. Payment must be made in U.S. funds. Wire
transfer details are available upon request.
West Virginia residents will pay a sales tax of
6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior
to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA
a credit card is requested.

13. Shipment is made via U.S. Postal Service or
Airborne unless otherwise instructed. Handling,
shipping and insurance charges are added to the
invoice. Oversize and foreign shipments are subject
to increased charges. All items are shipped

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within
seven days providing that it comes back in the same
condition. There is a lifetime guarantee on
authenticity to the original purchaser. The item(s)
must be returned with two letters denying it’s
authenticity by expert authenticators acceptable
