1890, Washington and Alaska. Stock certificate for 50 shares of the the Puget Sound and Alaska Steamship Company. BrownBlack. Lovely engraved vignette of a steamship in rough seas at top center. Printed by Franklin Bank Note Company. Operating from 1889-1904 as a subsidiary of the Northern Pacific Railroad, the company ran a steamship line from Tacoma servicing Puget Sound and Alaska. A number of prominent investors owned shares in this company, including John D. Rockefeller Lightly cancelled. Extremely Fine.
