Lot of Four Robert Bloch Typed Letters Signed, "Bob", each one page on Bloch's personal letterhead, 6.25" x 8.5", Los Angeles, California, 1972-1974, to Joan Crawford. Writer Robert Bloch, best known for his novel Psycho, collaborated with Joan Crawford in the 1964 film Straight-Jacket and apparently a friendship was born. These chatty letters discuss Bloch's current projects, mutual acquaintances and life in general. The following excerpt from a July 8, 1974 letter sets the tone for them all: "...I've been a one-thing-at-a-time person. One helping of food on the plate only...one kind of drink at a session...one girl in the bed...and one job to concentrate on." One letter has residual rust from a paper clip and another is lightly soiled. Overall fine condition.
