Diamonds of this type and size, exhibiting a superior quality, are very rare. Such diamonds have been unearthed from only a limited number of sources around the world (e.g., South Africa, Brazil, and India).

This beautiful stone is a member of the rare type IIa group of diamonds which are known for their extreme purity and limpidity, qualities compared so often throughout history to pure, crystalized water.
