The house Koch was founded in 1879 by the brothers Robert and Louis in Frankfurt. In 1883, they received the title of Court jewelers. They worked for the tsar of Russia, the king of Italy and the Imperial family of Germany. In the 1920's, the company was flourishing commercially and artistically. The shop in Frankfurt was destroyed during the second World war and the shop of Baden-Baden confiscated. They later re-opened, but the company ceased trading in 1987.
