Crocker. </b> <B>VF+</B>. <BR>    Central Pacific magnate Charles Crocker organized the Promontory Stock Ranch Company to help the interests of his son George. They acquired 369,000 acres of Central Pacific land in Utah and Idaho. The ranch they set up went through a corporate reorganization and was divided between the Promontory Ranch Company and the Curlew Ranch Company.
<b>William H. Crocker</b> (1861-1937) was the son of Charles Crocker. William founded and was president of the Crocker National Bank and was a major force in the reconstruction of San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake.
