Stains&#41; in which he passes on a private offer from Joe Kittinger &#40;holder of the free fall parachute record - 102,800 feet.&#41; to talk to the Mercury astronauts about emergency survival techniques for use in the Mercury program. Caidin emphasizes that he is talking on a private basis, completely divorced from his official relationship with the astronauts. ALSO included is a First Edition of Caidin&#39;s 1961 book &#40;249pp., hard with dust jacket, minor faults&#41;, co-written with Capt. Joseph Kittinger, USAF about his life and professional accomplishments.
