''The Wizard Of Oz'' Hollywood premiere program, showcasing MGM's ''greatest magic film ever to be made''. Entitled ''The Wizard of Oz Comes to Life'', program lists the venue and date on the cover, Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Tuesday, 15 August 1939. Various scenes from the film are featured on the front, including all the main characters, the Munchkins, Glinda, the Wicked Witch and, of course, the flying monkeys. The center fold lists the credits and last two pages offer exciting glimpses into filming: noting that Judy Garland wore 8 duplicates of her farm dress throughout shooting, the extensive makeup process for all the players and the set design spanning 25 acres. Program measures 10.25'' x 13.75'' and runs 5pp. Light wear along outer seam and a small amount of creasing. Overall in near fine condition. A scarce ''Wizard of Oz'' collectible.
