Professional Custom Recreation of a DWM Model 1902 American Eagle Fat Barrel 9 mm Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol

This is a remanufactured/assembled copy of a 1902 Commercial American Eagle Luger in the 9mm "Fat Barrel" configuration. These early fat barrel Lugers were made expressly for export to the United States to increase overseas sales and are extremely rare in themselves with only an estimated 600-700 manufactured in total, in two specific serial number ranges. The frame on this version has the old style flat main spring, early recessed breech block with the long extractor and the early dished toggles with the toggle lock on the right side. It also has the grip safety, the lower safety area has been milled out and is polished bright and there is no stock lug. On top of the chamber area it is marked with the American Eagle crest and the DWM script monogram on the front toggle link. The pistol has a rust blue finish with straw colored small components, checkered walnut grips and a nickel-plated magazine with wooden base that is correctly remarked "Cal 9mm". This is well made copy of an American Eagle Model 1902 Fat Barrel Luger.

Manufucture: DWM
Model: 1902
BBL: 3 7/8 inch round
Stock:
Guage: 9 mm Luger
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut

Very fine as professionally assembled/remarked with 99% of the blued finish overall. The various small parts retain 98% of their straw colors. The grips are very good with nice distinct checkering, showing minor handling marks and light wear across the tops of the checkering. An attractive recreation of an extremely rare early example of an American eagle fat barreled commercial Luger pistol.
