Private Cover, 1951 & 1955, Dual Dates, 1 Anna, 2 Annas stamp of Geological survey, 3 Pies & 9 Pies, all affixed on the front and cancelled with 3 pictorial cancellations as “BOMBAY | 26.1.55 | REPUBLIC DAY” with a representation of “5” years of republic India in the centre part of the seal and 1 pictorial seal as “BOMBAY | 26.1.51 | REPUBLIC DAY” with a beautiful bird print in the centre, dispatched by “Federal Stamp Co., | 42, Churchgate Street, | Fort, BOMBAY”, on the back of the cover there is a round delivery seal as “BOMBAY | DELY. | 26 JAN. 51”, collector’s remarks highlights that the cover has postmarks with 2 different years as “1951” and “1955”, this means the cover might have been first sent with a wrong seal and then corrected, good condition, Rare.
