November 19, 1747, THE PENNSYLVANIA GAZETTE, Philadelphia, PA. No. 988, 4 pages, 12" x 16.5", matted and framed along with an engraving to 16" x 29", Very Fine. Being the front and back page of a disbound issue, laid flat and framed, with a portrait engraving by Johnson, Wilson & Co., New York. At the bottom of the back page: "Printed by B. Franklin, Post-Master, at the New-Printing-Office, near the Market." This issue has Ben Franklin's name alone, and news and commentary about the conflict in Ireland, news from Rome and London, as well as advertisements for "THE POCKET ALMANACK" for the year 1748, and "POOR RICHARD IMPROVED." Very light toning with minor foxing. A very impressive display item, beautifully framed.
