Three beautiful pieces of the fabric used to make the train for Princess Diana's wedding dress: two identical triangular swatches of the ivory-colored silk taffeta used for the body of the train, pinned together at one edge, measuring approximately 41 x 14, with a thin band of lace on one side; and an elegant 21 x 5.75 segment of the fine sequined lace used for the train's border. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a page removed from the 2006 book A Dress for Diana by David and Elizabeth Emanuel, showing the train during its production. The train for Princess Diana's dress was 25 feet long and it was primarily constructed of the ivory silk taffeta; two thin bands of lace ran parallel down the center, and the perimeter was edged in the sequined lace. The imposing length of the train made for a dramatic scene as Diana ascended the steps in front of St. Paul's Cathedral on her wedding day.
