Note: In 1922 the P. & O. liner S. S. Egypt was coming to India carrying a consignment of unsigned notes of Rupees 100, 10 & 5 printed by Waterlow & Sons for the Hyderabad State sank off Ushant in the Bay of Biscay. These Notes were lying in the water at a depth that was then regarded beyond retrieval. The Hyderabad Government instructed Waterlow & Sons to reprint the same series of notes in the above denominations but in a different font type for the prefix (antique), indicating thereby that the new notes were the duplicate of the lost ones. These notes were salvaged after 11 years by Sorima (Societa Ricuperi Marittimi) Company using a salvage vessel called Artiglio.
