Prince's personally-worn black mesh cropped shirt decorated with black tassels along the sleeves, worn on the same night of his private performance party for Minneapolis Mayor Sharon Sayles Belton on January 14, 1995. In fine condition. From the collection of Prince's assistant Therese Stoulil and accompanied by a letter of provenance; she does not recall whether he wore this top during the actual performance, later on in the evening, or to an after party. Also accompanied by a letter from Mayor Belton to Stoulil dated January 18, 1995, in part: "I just wanted to thank you personally for all of the assistance you provided my staff and volunteers to make last Saturday evening a success. I wanted to let you know that I have received many comments from people of the wonderful time they had at Paisley Park and that the staff was very courteous. I think this is a reflection upon you and your boss." Belton served as mayor of Minneapolis from 1994 through 2001, and Prince played a few fundraising gigs to support her campaign. The set list for his January 14th show included '7,' 'Shhh,' 'Funky,' 'Race,' 'Super Hero,' and 'The Most Beautiful Girl In The World,' among others.
