Prince's personally-owned golden waist chain and cross worn during the 1986 Parade Tour. The elegant golden chain measures 30? long unclasped, and the cross measures 1 1/8? x 2?. In overall fine condition, with some wear to the cross and two nicks to chain. From the collection of singer-songwriter Susannah Melvoin, an extended member of the Revolution during the Parade era, who shared a longterm working musical relationship with and was engaged to Prince during the 80s. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Susannah Melvoin. Melvoin, Prince's then fiancee, notes that Prince wore this waist chain during his famous ‘birthday show’ at Detroit’s Cobo Hall on June 7, 1986, and that she likewise appeared on stage to perform backing vocals on a rendition of ‘Anotherloverholenyohead.’
