Prince Louis II of Monaco Document Signed,
Prince Louis II of Monaco Document Signed, four integral pages partially printed, written on pages one and two, 8.25" x 12.25", Monaco, July 12, 1922, in French. The document is bordered in black because of court morning. Two file holes at the top, well away from the signature. Overall browning and some foxing, else very good. The document, addressed to the President of the Dominican Republic, is announcing the death of the Prince's father Prince Albert I. In the month leading to the outbreak of World War I, Prince Albert made numerous attempts to dissuade Germany's Kaiser Wilhelm II from going to war. When war came, Monaco declared its neutrality but in fact provided the Allied forces with hospitals, convalescent centers, and soldiers, including Prince Albert's only son, Louis.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
