Handwritten thank-you note by Prince, unsigned, inside a 5.75 x 8.75 card embossed in gold with his symbol. Prince pens a note to thank his saxophonist Eric Leeds for the horn arrangement that Leeds wrote and recorded for the song 'Holly Don't Care.' In distinctive purple ink, Prince writes: "I thank u, Holly thanks u, my thank u thanks u… Thank u, thank u, thank u, thank u, thank u, Damn!" Includes the original envelope, addressed in Prince's hand, "S Eric Leeds." In fine condition. The 'Holly Don't Care' recording session took place on November 15, 1992, in Studio A at Paisley Park, where trumpeter Matt Blistan (aka Atlanta Bliss) was also present. Although that track remains unreleased, it was recorded as 'Baby Don't Care' by Mayte for her album Child of the Sun. An attractive card featuring Prince's bold, purple handwriting, made all the more desirable as a token of thanks between musical collaborators. From the collection of musician/saxophonist Eric Leeds and accompanied by a letter of provenance.
